Florida investor buys Katy shopping center


CTO Realty Growth, a real estate investment trust based in Winter Park, Fla., acquired Price Plaza Shopping Center, a 205,000-square-foot center on 23.2 acres at 20290 Katy Freeway in the Katy area for $39.1 million. The property is 95 percent occupied. Tenants include Best Buy, Ross Dress for Less, dd’s Discounts and James Avery Artisan Jewelry.

Armstrong Commercial Services, a provider of moving, relocation and logistics services, completed construction on a 116,000-square-foot warehouse at 9778 W. Gulf Bank Road. The new buildings grows the Memphis-based company’s Gulf Coast presence to 205,000 square feet of warehousing space across three locations. The expansion enables the company to minimize supply-chain disruptions for retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and other customers across the West and Midwest.
