CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – Gov. Gordon is speaking out on the pandemic, the economy and whether or not the state will have a mask mandate again.
” I don’t find any value in grandstanding on this issue and I will support counties, cities and school boards in making their own decisions. I believe as a Republican and a Conservative that government that governs least and governs closest to the people is best,” said Gov. Mark Gordon.
The Governor says that Wyoming is a state where we respect our responsibilities.
He believes local governments can make the best decisions on what is necessary to keep the public safe, businesses open and the economy growing.
The Governor said that vaccines are a deeply personal decision and should not be government-mandated either.
This comes as Wyoming CoVid-19 cases rise to around 100 cases hospitalized, 90 percent of which were unvaccinated.
