FALL RIVER — The gorgeous Highlands home that was the subject of a social media post that went viral seven months ago for comparing $1 million in homes in Fall River vs. Los Angeles has sold.
For $1 million, exactly.
in December, B.M.C. Durfee High graduate Hunter Reis posted on Twitter photos of two listings showing the difference between a $1 million home in Fall River vs. a $1 million home in Los Angeles. It went viral and made “Fall River” trend on Twitter for the day.
The house Reis used for reference was the Nathan Durfee house at 503 Highland Ave., a sprawling, English manor style home near Charlton Memorial Hospital.
According to the real estate listing, the six bedroom, six and a half bath home boasts special details like “English grapevine crown molding,” “detailed oak panel wainscoting,” a billiard room, and “fairy tale etched stained glass throughout, provides an elegant whimsy with scenes from classic writers such as Charles Perrault.”
