New Facebook feature bringing faith based communities together online – FOX23 News

There’s a new feature on Facebook that will let you share your prayers. It’s made for people who are hesitant to go to services because of concerns about coronavirus.

If you are in a Facebook group that allows this feature, you can make a prayer request post. Other users can respond by clicking the “I prayed” button, like, leave a comment or direct message.

You can request prayers for a variety of reasons, like job interviews or illnesses.

Revered Turner at Vernon AME Church says, “As a pastor, I am grateful that people from across the world can have a venue and platform to go and seek prayer from. To have people to respond to those prayer requests in real time is remarkable. Facebook should be commended for that.”
