SBI Phishing Fraud Update: SBI alerts customers about phishing fraud; here are prevention guidelines by SBI

The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a warning to its customers about phishing links. SBI has issued a press release listing out what the preventive measures customers should take to protect their hard earned money against phishing attacks. SBI regularly issues such warnings to its customers in order to protect them against all types of digital scams.

What is phishing?

Phishing is a phrase used to refer to forged e-mails, text messages, and websites sent to customers by criminals. They are meant to look like they came from well-authorised organisations, financial institutions, and government agencies, but they are designed with the malicious aim of collecting personal, financial, and sensitive information. Brand spoofing is another term for it.
