Tech company launches new San Jose campus, sets stage for growth

SAN JOSE — ASML, a tech company with significant growth plans, has officially opened its big new tech campus in north San Jose, saying that the office and research center can accommodate several hundred workers.

“Bringing all of our Silicon Valley teams together on one campus allows us to maximize collaboration and synergy,” said Jim Koonmen, an executive vice president with ASML, a semiconductor equipment maker.

The company has moved into two San Jose buildings that together total about 212,600 square feet and provide the tech giant with new cleanroom spaces in the office and research center.

“We are trying to solve some leading-edge problems for the semiconductor industry,” Koonmen said.
