When I first started covering Ohio State football recruiting over 30 years ago “talking” to a prospect meant in-person or over the phone. Now “talking” also includes social media and especially Twitter.
Back again today with a collection of the top tweets after Ryan Day, Larry Johnson, Mark Pantoni and the Buckeye staff have landed a commitment from Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic defensive end/lineman J.T. Tuimoloau has announced he has picked Ohio State.
The 6-foot-4 ½ and 277-pound Tuimoloau picked Ohio State over a final five that also included Oregon, Washington, USC and Alabama, plus a list of other scholarship offers from virtually every school in the country.
Tuimoloau is a 5-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 1 overall prospect, the No. 1 defensive lineman and the No. 1 prospect in Washington.
